Happy summer, neighbors! 2023 has been a great year so far for our neighborhood. The Egg Hunt was bigger than ever, the park has been cleaned, and our block party was a blast thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers. We are looking forward to the next event in fall - our annual Halloween Parade! You can read more about our events below.
Our membership meetings have been lively and informative. So far this year, we’ve heard from developers of the Forest Glen Medical Center and Animal Services. In addition to the speaker on Animal Services, a group of volunteers stepped up to distribute signs throughout the neighborhood reminding folks to please leash and pick up after their dogs. If there’s anyone you’d like to hear from at a future meeting, please let us know.
We would love to do more activities in the neighborhood but need your help! None of this is possible without the small group of volunteers that help at every turn. Let us know if you’d like to help with an event, newsletter, membership, sponsorship or anything else! We welcome one time and ongoing volunteers.
Speaking of volunteering…our officer elections are coming up in September and we need folks to jump in on any board positions. If you are interested please contact nominations@mhckcivic.org.
